Robert E. Hall

Robert Hall – thought leader on relationships. As co-founder and former CEO of an international CRM firm, he has advised CEOs on relationship strategy for three decades.

…relationship itself is the real thing. We used to think all the energy was in the particles of the atom; now it seems that energy is, in fact, in the space between the particles.  Richard Rohr, Everything Belongs

Much of the focus on strategic leadership either ignores or looks too narrowly at the importance of key relationships.

At some point, the strategy is to execute.

While the CEO role as chief strategy decider gets much of the hype, it is the challenge of business execution that so often drives results – or not. And, sustained execution is a relationship game.

Leadership seems to get harder and harder. Jamie Dimon lives with daily headlines debating whether or not he will retain both jobs: Chairman and CEO of J.P. Morgan Chase. President Obama battles the curse of the second term while attempting to defend against debacles from Benghazi to the IRS.  Leadership turmoil ranges across Greece, France, and Egypt.  At a time there is such an outcry for the ideal of stronger leaders, reality presents us with leaders who are really struggling.

United State corporations lose half of their customers in five years, half of their employees in four years, and half of their investors in a matter of months Philip Kotler, Kotler on Marketing

Virtually every CEO is seeking growth.  The challenge is how to grow today in a way that does not undermine tomorrow’s growth?
