Barbara Jaurequi, MS, LMFT, MAC is a California based psychotherapist, author, business consultant and professional speaker. Her private practice is located in Rancho Cucamonga, about 30 miles east of Los Angeles. Before beginning her career in the field of psychology, Ms. Jaurequi spent a dozen years in corporate America.  The bulk of her experience in business took place in New York City where she worked for top investment banking firms including Goldman Sachs, Bear Stearns, and Merrill Lynch World Headquarters prior to its merger with Bank of America.  Reporting directly to senior leaders including vice presidents, managing directors and directors, Ms. Jaurequi had the opportunity to learn about the challenges managers of all levels face first hand. In Los Angeles, she worked directly for Robin Ferracone, the current CEO of Farient Advisors and the former Chairman/CEO of SCA Consulting, an international compensation consulting firm which Ms. Ferracone later sold to Mercer. Ms. Jaurequi’s experience with SCA paved the way for her work as an executive recruiter with Identify, Inc., a boutique executive search firm that specializes in matching senior leaders to high level positions in the investment banking industry. 

Ms. Jaurequi’s lifelong interest in psychology eventually lured her away from the world of business for several years. Her licensure as a psychotherapist has allowed her to enjoy a wide variety of professional experiences including an adjunct professorship of psychology at Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles and a directorship at Enki Health and Research Systems. She currently owns and operates her successful private counseling practice, Barbara Jaurequi Counseling in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. She is the author of A.C.E.S. – Adult-Child Entitlement Syndrome and her articles have been published in dozens of high profile industry magazines and newspapers including CEO Magazine which has retained her as a regular blogger for their online publication. An energetic and compelling lecturer, Ms. Jaurequi speaks on a variety of professional and personal topics.
